I'm still not quite overcame the shock of returning to London to my everyday troubles after such great experience as WGT. It was especially disturbing for me to come to the Dev yesterday to the so-called "goth" night, where DJs were playing Limp Bizkit and other crap like that... Lack of taste is a cardinal sin!

It's time for me to return to the world of pleasant memories =)

I had the greatest fun in Leipzig during Sunday and Monday. Me and Claire finally learned that it's impossible to go everywhere and to see everything we planned, so we just let it go and enjoyed "the ride" =) Agra is a lovely place with absolutely fascinating atmosphere, so it looked as the best place to hang out and charge our minds with festival spirit!

And of course it was great to spend our time in company of not_like_most and forlorn_ghost

...and of course to run into James speakmaradeur, Nik caveynik and a group of lovely people from Melbourne

Claire looks super cute on this photo with Rachel miss_rachael

Despite we decided to stop making plans about seeing the bands and being more opportunistic, I couldn't miss CD 1334 with Eva O on vocals and of course Fields of the Nephilim - the headliners.

Must say, that I was very anxious to see CD 1334 live for the first time. Seeing good old Christian Death was like traveling back in time and back to the future! Eva O gave absolutely stunning performance. Dressed in widow's clothes, she looked just mesmerizing on stage. Her vocals were powerful and extremely energetic. And the music... hey they were playing "Only theater of pain" !=) enjoy the photos:

Can you imagine what happened to us when we saw Mz. Evil O in Agra market just couple of hours after such amazing performance! ;)

The grand finale of the day were of course Fields of the Nephilim. Me and Claire were quite tired after a long day and alcohol, but when Carl McCoy entered the stage I experienced such a rush of energy and adrenaline. His vocals were mesmerizing and songs like Mourning Sun, Straight to the Light, Preacher Man, and of course The Watchman, which followed at the encore literally made my body shiver! I don't remember what I was doing during the last song - Last Exit for the Lost (which is probably my favorite ever), but people standing next to me probably thought I was crazy. I was singling along during the whole song, and my mind was somewhere else... probably in "Sumerian haze" =)

Fields of the Nephilim is officially my favorite band!

After such positive emotional overload we went to When We Were Young... But it's another story.

More tomorrow!

Yours,
A.D.
